I don't have anything to say other than Happy Friday! I'm really excited for Halloween and already have decorations up including a lighted spider that hangs in my window. The kids that also live in my apartment complex are all amazed by it. My kids love Halloween too and can hardly wait to put on their costumes. Hannah is going to be a devil princess, Jaidyn is going to be Spiderman, and Shaylee is going to be a bee.
For anyone in Utah County that reads this, I miss being there and being closer to my friends. It gets kinda lonely up here and since gas prices are so high it makes it hard to travel back and forth... So I'm sending you big hello's and big hugs!!!

Thursday
Well it's Thursday and there's really nothing to look forward to other than The Office season premiere tonight! That's pretty exciting, but other than that there's nothing else to really report. Marc has a big meeting tomorrow for his text message coupon company and I'm really hoping that goes well for him.
Shaylee told me for the first time yesterday how to spell her name all by herself! That was really exciting for sure!
We bought little face pieces that you stick into your pumpkin instead of carving and the kids as well as myself are really excited to try those. They didn't really like carving last year, I loved cooking the seeds though. Yummmm......
Other than that, things are just ok and I'm grateful for that. I hope your Thursdays turn out good as well as the upcoming weekend.

Broken Fridge!
This morning when we got up, the fridge was making an awful noise and I thought to myself oh great here we go! Well not an hour later it started smoking and had a horrible smell. The kids were really scared and thought something was on fire which could have happened I guess. I called the manager and she sent Eric our maintenance guy right over. It turns out our compressor was bad as well as the starter thing and one other thing I can't remember. So.... We got a new fridge! It's bigger and a bit better and white instead of cream. He brought it over from another empty apartment and did a switch around and so now someone else gets my small fridge and I get their big one!

Photo Tag

I got tagged by my friend Tara. "You have to take 10 pictures of the following things and you have to do it right away. No straightening, cleaning or wiping your child's nose (I mean it!)."
KIDS:Shaylee (my niece), Jaidyn and Hannah (left to right)
BATHROOM: Can you tell we like frogs?
CLOSET: The doors are always falling off its track so you get only this!
MY SHOES: Need I say more?
MY FRIDGE: Covered in the kids drawings of course!
MY KITCHEN SINK: We were playing with dry ice, it was really fun today!
MY LAUNDRY ROOM: Really it's just part of my kitchen and they clearly become storage places while not doing laundry. UGH.....
Favorite Room: Living room with the nice soft couches and pictures all around us and of course where we play the most!
ME: Blah! Not my favorite by far...

I now tag Aimee C. and Jessica Grimes! Have fun!!

Long time no post...
Lately I've just been too lazy to blog, but I think that should all change.
In this blog I'm wanting to tell you how sweet my children are to me and just how lucky I am to have them.
Last night I wasn't feeling very good and Jaidyn brought me his special blanket and a pillow so I could be more comfortable on the
couch. He gave me "feel better kisses" and said that I'd be alright. He is my little man for sure. Loves to take care of me every day
as well as wanting to help cook. He asks mommy when is it my turn to cook by myself? I'm hoping to teach him to cook so he can make his future wife very happy by cooking sometimes. My Marc doesn't do that for me, hehe.... Jaidyn is so sensitive to others and their needs. He's always happy to get Hannah and Shaylee drinks or treats when he gets one. I love my little man and really happy to have him in my home.

Hannah likes to stop what she's doing and come and give me a hug and say I love you mommy. I love those little moments to connect with her. She is so brilliant! Yesterday we made the goal to count to 100 all by herself and after she did that we'd go get some ice cream. Well she started practicing on her own and got to 40 with out help; when she hit 49 I asked what comes after 4 and she answered 50! Then she counted to 59 and all I had to do is ask her again what comes after 5. We kept going until she said 99, looked at me and said 100!!! I think we'll have it down by the end of the week if not by Monday. She's such a little helper and loves to help load and unload the dishwasher. She always says it goes faster when you have help! So sweet, I love her to bits.

Shaylee is my sweet little niece living with us. She is quite the ray of sunshine and is very loving. She is an amazing cleaner and loves to clean the bathroom sink for me all the time. I catch her in the bathroom daily cleaning the sink for me. It's so small of an act but one of the sweetest daily things she does for me. She loves to give little kisses when she can and loves to tickle my arm which I love her doing. She's a wonderful example of listening for my kids. She's always the first one to get up and do something I ask to have done and the others quickly follow her lead wether it's cleaning the bedroom or livingroom. She's going to be quite the organizer some day. I love having her in my home and seeing her play with Hannah and Jaidyn so well. They're all the best of friends.
As you can see, I'm extremely lucky to have such wonderful children in my home. They help me daily to become a better mother because they are so good to me.

BOYS II MEN!!!
I went to the best concert last night with my mom and one of my closest friends Aimee. I have loved Boys II Men since they came out in 1991 and was sooooo excited to see them in concert. I screamed, danced and of course sang along to all the songs. I was really jealous of the girls that got roses from them while they sang "I'll Make Love to You". It had to be the best concert I've been to in a very long time they put on a really great show. I also saw a few people that I knew which made it fun as well. So, here's to the 90's and loving every minute of it!

Children's Laughter
So lately I've been a bit down and really all that can make me feel happier is listening to my children's laughter as well as the laughter of other children around. It reminds me to live in the moment with the children so I can laugh with them. Life is simple for them, play, eat, pretend, play some more and laugh the whole time. I've decided to take their example to heart and laugh more in my life, even if it seems dumb at the time, it will only foster happier feelings in me and in the home.

Trials of Motherhood
So I love my children very much but lately they've been pushing my buttons to the max. I was ready tonight to call it quits for a while and remove myself from this house of madness, but alas I stayed and now they are in bed and all is quiet. THANK GOODNESS!!!
This weekend we're going to a big family reunion in Fruitland, UT which will be tons of fun. It's our third year going and it's a great place. We camp from Friday to Sunday and all of the family is there. The total people there will be close to 100 including all the kids and parents. I just hope the kids have fun and listen to us as well.
Thank you to those of you who commented on my "Memories" post and please keep them coming and be sure to put the same post on your blog so I can share my memories of you too!

Memories...
Here's what you do:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Holy cow I have a lot of stuff!
I'm getting ready for a yard sale this weekend and I'm going through all my stuff here in our apartment, and I'm amazed at what I've held on to for so many years! We also have a storage unit in Lindon that is half full of yard sale stuff as well! We have an electric dryer, a metal frame bunk bed (missing screws), 2 desks, a ton of clothes both adult and child, shoes, cookie lee jewelry... I can't believe it! My living room is covered with stuff going to the sale. I just hope people show up! If you want to come it will be in Highland, UT. Email me @ heathergrimes@yahoo.com if you want the address to come. There will be two other families there with their stuff. It looks to be good and big.
So here's to cleaning out stuff and feeling better about your surroundings and finding treasures!
