Trials of Motherhood

So I love my children very much but lately they've been pushing my buttons to the max. I was ready tonight to call it quits for a while and remove myself from this house of madness, but alas I stayed and now they are in bed and all is quiet. THANK GOODNESS!!!

This weekend we're going to a big family reunion in Fruitland, UT which will be tons of fun. It's our third year going and it's a great place. We camp from Friday to Sunday and all of the family is there. The total people there will be close to 100 including all the kids and parents. I just hope the kids have fun and listen to us as well.

Holy cow I have a lot of stuff!

I'm getting ready for a yard sale this weekend and I'm going through all my stuff here in our apartment, and I'm amazed at what I've held on to for so many years! We also have a storage unit in Lindon that is half full of yard sale stuff as well! We have an electric dryer, a metal frame bunk bed (missing screws), 2 desks, a ton of clothes both adult and child, shoes, cookie lee jewelry... I can't believe it! My living room is covered with stuff going to the sale. I just hope people show up! If you want to come it will be in Highland, UT. Email me @ heathergrimes@yahoo.com if you want the address to come. There will be two other families there with their stuff. It looks to be good and big.

Fun 24th!

Marc's work (SOS Staffing) had their company party at the BEE'S game last night and it was a really fun time. They provided dinner for us and then had seats behind home plate for us. The kids loved it and were given yo-yo's that kept them happy. We also bought them mini bats which they loved as well. The BEE'S won the game and then came the firework show! It was so fun and the kids loved the big booms they made. My mom even came with us and had a great time as well.

I hope you all had a happy 24th! I for one am glad the pioneers came here even if it was and is a desert. They sacrificed a lot to come here a start a new place.

I love my family

I must say that I'm very much grateful for my husband and my children including my niece who has lived with us for the past 4 months. They bring me so much joy and happiness.

I'm also very grateful for my friends both old and new. I have amazing friends and trust them completely. Thank you for your friendship! I've also found lot's of old friends on Facebook which you should join if you haven't already. I think it's much better than MySpace.

Thank you again to my husband Marc who works really hard so I can be at home with my children. I don't ever thank him enough and I hope I can better tell and show him how much he means to me in my life. I'm very lucky to be his wife.

Sick of the smell...

I just have to say I'm so sick of my upstairs neighbors smoking inside their apartment and having the stale smoke smell come into my house. You'd think I was the one smoking the way it smells in here. So I have fans going to send the putrid air outside and have called the management. If they continue to smoke inside, they will get a 3 day notice to leave the apartment. I feel bad because they are really nice people, but come on, smoke outside especially when that's the rule here!!!

Well, Marc and I are going to Lagoon this Saturday and we are stoked! It's been about 9 years for me since I've been and over 10 for Marc. We are going without the kids so we can get a much needed break. We can hardly wait! I will for sure bring the camera!

4th of July

My day started out early like most of you trying to save places along the parade route, but I started out with lining up with the sea of walkers/runners at the 5k starting line. I was nervous but excited since I had never done something like this before. I marched in Timpview High School's marching band but that's not like racing! I really enjoyed doing the race, and loved seeing my family cheering me on as I passed by. I'm going to make it a tradition and beat my time that I got this year. (43 minutes)

After the parade, we went to a park and had a picnic with Marc's family which was fun. We got in a water fight and even grandma was in on the fun.

At the end of the day, we sat on the lawn in front of the temple to watch the fireworks which were awesome this year! My little Hannah and Jaidyn loved them and wanted more. I hope you all had a great 4th as well!

200 Visitors!

I just wanted to celebrate 200 visits to my blog! Thank you for looking at and reading my blog, I've had fun getting in to it so far and plan to keep it going for sure!
Marc and I decided we needed to make "chore charts" for each other so we're accountable either daily or weekly with what we'd like to accomplish. We'll see how that goes...I'm hopeful though.

Blue fingers and toes!

So my daughter and niece got blue fingernail polish at the store today. It looks really cute on them! And I must mention that I'm really proud of my little ones!
Jaidyn and Shaylee decided that it was ok to jump off the side of the pool and go under! Hannah is still learning that it's ok to do as well. She's close though, and it's only been two weeks that we've been going to our pool here! I love them so much! They all bring me so much happiness.

My 4th of July plans!

So I'm currently hoping to run/walk in the annual Freedom Festival run( just the 5K/3.1 miles) just before the parade in Provo. Just the other night I ran/walked 4 miles in one hour... I'm hoping to walk/run every other day so I can cut that time by a few minutes at least. Can I just say how fun it was, but boy was I sore the next day... It's been a while since I've walked so much. Back in high school this much walking didn't phase me. Oh well, wish me luck!!!!

Later that day after the big parade, we will be heading to the grassy area in front of the Provo Temple to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks and have a bbq with many family members and friends. I hope you all have a good 4th!
