Father's and Son's camp out...

Marc and Jaidyn went on our ward's father's and son's camp out in May and it was a ton of fun for them. Jaidyn had a blast and here's some fun pictures!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

This past Saturday we went as a primary to visit the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house and it was so much fun. We were able to take Hannah and Jaidyn to the Draper Temple so they were already familiar with what you do in the temple and the rooms. So when we were at the temple on Saturday Hannah was reminding us what each room was and what we did in them. It was so neat to be there as a family as well as with the primary. I'm so grateful for my calling in the primary and love it. Here's some pictures of the fun day!

Nothing really...

There's not a whole lot going on this week other than I've been loving the thunder storms! Thunder is one of my favorite sounds, it's so relaxing to me when accompanied by rain.

I've got some health things maybe going on, I went to the Dr. not too long ago and found my white blood cell count was up high and he had me take some antibiotics which I just finished this weekend. Well, I have a lump in my throat which has been there but has now been painful twice now for a few days at a time and I went to the Instacare up here and they tested my blood again and found my white blood cell count was still up high so I need to go into my regular Dr. and see what to do now. I'm nervous, but then again it could be nothing too which I'm hopeful for.

Marc decided against having "surgery" to have his kidney stones sound wave blasted. We just don't have the money so he's going to see what natural things he can do to make it easier to pass. Aren't we a fun bunch?

Hannah and Jaidyn are continuing to grow and change, Hannah is learning attitude already and it's been hard to deal with lately. I have a hard time handling it well and I've made mistakes... Jaidyn is growing so fast, where has time gone? When did he grow into the little man he is today? He's so sweet right now and I'm relishing in his sweetness. They've both gone through some growth spurts in the last bit, which is amazing to watch.

That's all I have for now, I'll keep you posted on my Dr. visits. Much love!

Sadly...

So, something went wrong I guess, we don't know but our soldier for a day excursion didn't happen. We're so bummed, but we're going to make the best of the situation and go do something fun instead.

Now I can plan my sharing time lesson and talk for tomorrow! I hope I do well!

Soldier for a day!!

Tomorrow morning at 4:30 our day will begin at Camp Williams and we'll be blowing things up, shooting all kids of guns, using hand grenades, launching R.P.G.'s, L.A.W.S Rockets, S.A.M.S., repelling out of helicopters, and maybe doing land mines with smoke to know if we died by red, blue, green, and white. White you lived, red you died. We'll see how many times I "die" tomorrow. I'm so excited, I'm jumping out of my skin! Thanks to our new friend Troy who is a Sniper in the Marines on leave right now. AMAZING! I'll post more tomorrow and see if pictures can be taken or not.

Have a great weekend! I know I will!!!!

What else?

Well this year has been a rough one for our health! First my heart which included an MRI, a monitor, then a visit to the ER where I had a pelvic CT, then just this month Marc was diagnosed with 2 kidney stones one of which requires the sound wave treatment and just yesterday I found out I have a 4.2cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary.
That one started out normal, but I was feeling nauseous and kind of like I was pregnant so I went to the Dr. and he did a blood test and found my white blood cell count was up to 15,000 which made him think it could have been appendicitis. So off to the hospital I went for yet another CT scan to rule out my appendix. I figured it was just a cyst, but better to be safe than sorry. BTW, no babies yet.
Marc and I were adding up all the out of pocket expenses and we're at about $5,000. WOW! We are feeling so overwhelmed that we don't know if our heads will ever get above water! I'm really grateful for insurance though because that number would be outrageous!

So, now I'm wondering what else will be hitting us next. Maybe we'll have insurance paying everything soon since we are closing in on the out of pocket all around. UGH, what a weekend.

I hope you're all having fun! We will be having fun with friends tomorrow.

Grateful to be a mom!

I have to say I love hanging out with my Hannah. Tonight it was just us girls while the boys went to father and son's camp out. We went to see the new Hannah Montana movie and we both loved it. I was so surprised I actually liked the movie. After the movie, we came home and watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua which was alright in my opinion and Hannah was mostly impressed. I pulled out our huge air mattress so we could snuggle the night away. She fell asleep not too long ago after reading one small story. Tomorrow we plan to eat strawberries for breakfast then go to the zoo. She is really the best little girl anyone could ask for. I'm so happy she's a mommy's girl right now, I'm really enjoying her wanting to snuggle and learn from me. It won't last long and I'm relishing the attention.
Jaidyn has turned into a daddy's boy and really loves helping Marc in any way he can which is really awesome and heartwarming to witness. He will be an amazing young man when he grows up. There's something about him and it's not just because I'm his mom. He's doing so well in his preschool on the computer. He now knows how to write and spell his name which he couldn't do a week ago. AMAZING! I'm proud of both of my children and am honored to be their mother.
