New Home!

So, we're moving and here's our new home! We're so excited. We've been married 9 years and it's about time we have our own place. We should get the keys a week from tomorrow.

School Time!

Where has time gone and where did my babies go? I can't believe how amazingly beautiful my children are. I'm so proud of them and all they do each day. I have learned so much from them and the privilege of being their mother.

Here's Hannah and Jaidyn on their first day of 2nd and 1st grade.

Daddy Daughter Project

Hannah is one of the most creative little girls I know. She's always wanting to invent things like new toys, tools, etc.. So at church on Sunday she found a rear spoiler that had broken off of a car from a previous ward that day and she said she wanted to invent a new car to play with. Well, as soon as we were home Marc and Hannah were planning what to do. She found my jewels I use for crafts and Marc took apart a toy car to use the under parts. Here's a few pictures to show their progress!

You know you want to!

This is a fun idea that I got suckered into. Maybe it's just plain old greed. I wanted to see what my friend would make for me and so I now have the priviledge of making something for some other lucky individuals. The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. That gives me a good five months to get it done!
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange (but don't expect my gift to be too strange because I am not good at coming up with strange things:).

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! *Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!*

This is a marathon post!!!

This is all of what I've been wanting to post about so have fun, grab a drink and sit back and enjoy. Jaidyn graduated pre-school, we've been to the zoo, been hiking... little sister in law got married...

Amazing Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies!

I made these last week and had so many requests for the recipe that I thought I'd share it here as well. These were truly amazing!

INGREDIENTS:
1 C Butter
1 1/2 C Crunchy Peanut Butter
1 C Sugar
1 C Packed Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 3/4 C all-purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 C Chocolate Chips (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 deg. fahrenheit. Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until blended well.

Slowly add the dry ingredients into the batter until the dough forms. Stir in as many chocolate chips as you want. I used 2 C which was perfect.

Roll into 1" balls and put on baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork, making the criss-cross pattern. Bake for 9 minutes and don't over bake! Let sit on cookie sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container. These make great chewy cookies! HINT:If you want them softer simply place 1/2 slice of bread in the container with them and your cookies will be really soft! This also works with stale cookies.

St. George Fun

For our anniversary this year we celebrated a little early and went to St. George for some fun. Our good friends Randy and Jessica Grimes went down too and spent some time without their kids for a birthday, anniversary, valentines day and pre-new baby fun.  She's 7 months pregnant with her first boy after 3 beautiful girls!  Here's some pics of our fun!

Cookie Making!

Our friends came over last night and brought cookies, frosting and sprinkles for us and the kids and it was so much fun for all of us.  The kids especially had a great time making their own cookies.  At the end the kids were given squirts of frosting in their mouths which was of course a big hit!  Here's some pics of our adventures in cookie making.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I just want to share my celebration with you! This year has had its challenges for sure but by far this has been a wonderful year overall. I've gained new friends, more confidence in myself and have enjoyed being a mother and wife. My children made such wonderful cards for me this morning... I was able to sleep in thanks to Marc staying home for the day and they made cream of wheat for breakfast with a small amount of help from dad. They are so sweet and I'm proud to be their mother. Here's to year # 32 being another great one!
