MRI Results and More!

The good news is my heart is normal in every way. No blockages, good valves, good size heart... I'm just waiting on what the blood test showed, probably nothing.

So, that's a bit of good news for the day, but I was hoping they'd see something so I don't have to wear my heart monitor. That's ok since my heart has been acting up and this monitor has been able to send it to the people that are watching me. This monitor is called ACT by Lifestar and it constantly sends signals from my heart sensors through a cell phone which is pretty cool. The only bad thing is I have to stay within 10ft of it or it looses the signal. I'm thinking with all these tests we'll meet our deductable so stuff will be paid for 100% after that. This is one expensive time in our life, but you also have to do what it takes to take care of you.

We get to go to the temple tomorrow night for the first time in 6 months! I don't know why I didn't go by myself ever, I just think now it's better when you go with your husband. Marc's extremely excited to be able to go. Our trials have been hard and now we're starting on the right track together. He's worked hard to get to where he is now and feels stronger than ever in the gospel. We're really excited and are really grateful for my mom making it possible by going way out of her way for us. I love her, she's the best mom and grandmother you could ever ask for.

I didn't forget about posting pictures of the zoo, I've just run out of time tonight but I'll post tomorrow. I will have time then.

Much love!

Tuesday Blah's

Well, today is kind of a blah day.
I had my MRI on my heart on Friday and am waiting for any news that might bring. Hopefully there was something there so I don't have to mess with this heart monitor for the full 28 days (well 25 now).

We're going to the zoo today so I'll post some pics of that trip. I figured we'd take advantage of a good day before all the storminess comes starting tomorrow.

What are you doing today?

6 Years today

Marc and I were married 6 years ago today. While it's been really hard and we've had good times, I'm overall grateful for our trials and true happiness that have come from our trials. While we're still going through trials we're at least getting stronger together and I'm grateful we're together. We were married in the Manti temple by my first children's (the two I placed with a wonderful family) I think great-grandfather who was scheduled to be our sealer that day. We at the time didn't know the significance of that day and our paths crossing but when I wrote to my family about my marriage I got the response that our sealer was their family member and had also sealed those two sweet children to their mother and father. I know that the Lord had shown complete love that day and I knew I was marrying the right man and that we were meant to be together forever. I'm grateful for the events that transpired that day 6 years ago. I love Marc more now than I did that day. I know that Heavenly Father has a divine plan for all of us and I'm thankful for the small glimpses we can get as we go through life as to who we are and who we can become.

Update on the Dr. visit today

So I went to the Cardiologist today and I do have an arrhythmia but he's not sure what type so far. The Holter Monitor I wore didn't pick up enough details to be sure, so starting tomorrow I'll have a new monitor I wear for 28 days which should be interesting. I also have to get an MRI on my heart to see what might be there, but there shouldn't be anything though. It's more of a precaution to make sure I don't have Marphans like my mom. I'm not worried about that at all.
To make things interesting, we are going to California while I'll have this monitor on and they'll get to see the excitement of travel and Knott's Berry Farm and beach. Oh the joys I have to look forward to.

Until the next time I post!!

Monday ramblings

Well, I don't have any news this week other than Marc and I are planning what to do for our anniversary still. I really have no idea what to do, do any of you have any suggestions? I'd love to do something special.

We also were able to visit some awesome friends yesterday and had a great time!! Randy and Jessica are some of our best friends and we love them. We also were able to celebrate Hailey's 5th birthday with the family which was really fun. Hannah and Hailey are only a month and a bit apart but Hannah towers over Hailey by quite a bit and Jaidyn who is younger than Hailey by a year is just barely taller than she is. She's so petite and cute as well as a firecracker of energy in that little body. I sure love her and her sisters Katie and Zoe, so sweet. Thank you guys for a fun night a yummy dinner! We're looking forward to next month with you guys!

Next month we're going to California for a week. We would have done the Disneyland thing, but it's too expensive for our budget so we're going to Knott's Berry Farm instead and hanging out at the beach for a while too. We have needed this vacation for a very long time and I'm so excited to go back to California. We're also taking Marc's brother Michal with us as well and it will be a blast!

I am loving our Wii and Wii fit still! It's fun to do the exercises and have it keep track of your results for you. I reccomend it for sure!!

Much love to you all! Please leave me some feedback on what you might think would be a good idea for anniversary fun!

I had the Jazz court all to myself! Well almost...

Marc had the opportunity to play on the Utah Jazz court tonight with his work SOS Staffing and it was tons of fun for the guys. At the end I took the opportunity to take a couple shots for myself, who wouldn't want to shoot on an NBA court into an NBA hoop! Here's the proof!

I was short on this shot so I moved closer and made the shot pictured below.

Test results part one

Well, the results came back yesterday on my blood tests and every thing's in the normal range which is comforting. Now to wait for the heart monitor results which I'll know for sure on the 25th.

Enjoy your day!

5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

I got this recipe in an email and I wanted to share it with you! It looks soooo good and I can't wait to eat one tonight!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world ?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Tuesday's Ramblings

So nothing eventful has happened these past few days, but here are a few fun things that did happen.

Marc and I got a Wii and a Wii fit and love them. I didn't realize how challenging the Wii fit would be until I started doing it and wow, it's great! It's going to be a lot of fun and I love how it tracks your changes. We bought it used and also got Guitar Hero 3, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (haven't tried that one yet), and Call of Duty 3 in the whole deal. We bought on the side Mario Kart and the Wii Fit and holy cow we're having fun! The kids have picked up on it like champs!

Still no word on my blood tests and heart so here's to more waiting and such.

Our 6th anniversary is coming up on March 1st and to be honest, I'm looking forward to a fresh start. Our 5th year started out perfect and then it went to pot as the year went on. I'm starting to be grateful for the challenges that came with 2008 but still struggling with loss, anger, hurt and forgiveness. I'm so grateful for all my friends who have pledged their support. I still don't know what to do for the anniversary so who knows if it will be big or small. Too bad it's on a Sunday!

We also rearranged our living room and so far we like it.

Yes I know this post was a little boring but I felt the need to share our news be it great or small.
