This was really good, I made it a bit too spicy but all around delicious!!
You'll need:
3 TB butter
1/3 C Honey
1/4 C yellow mustard
1 TB Curry powder
1 tsp. Chili powder ( I used a dash and it was hot!)
1 1/2 lbs. chicken diced
In 8x8 casserole dish mix all the ingredients excluding chicken until well blended. Add chicken and stir to coat chicken. Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 30 min., remove foil and bake for another 30 min.
Serve over rice. This came out to serve about 5. ( 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 adult leftover) It's really good! Thank you Kristyn for sharing this great recipe.

Creative Juices were flowing!
Look how cute Hannah's hair is! I wanted to do something different and here you go. I did a ziz zag part and then the puff braid which is just segmented hair from elastic to elastic then a ponytail at the end. If you want to know where I got the butterfly clip click HERE. I love their site!!!!

My Favorite Banana Bread Recipe
I just have to share my favorite recipe for banana bread since I just made it today. It makes two loaves. Feel free to experiment with add-ins, chocolate chips, nuts... Have fun with it!
6 large ripe bananas- mashed
2 1/3 C sugar
1C (2 sticks) butter softened
4 eggs
3 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350. Combine bananas, sugar and butter. Cream until blended. Add eggs and beat until mixed. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until well blended. Spray bread pans and divide mix into both pans. Bake for 1 hour. If you're using darker pans reduce cooking time by 10 min. so you don't over bake it.
Let me know if you try it!

By the way...
That dinner I talked about earlier wasn't very good so I decided not to post it. Also, Marc didn't have anything worse than a bad cold.
If you stop by, please feel free to leave a comment! I love reading the comments you all have.

Thursday Ramblings
I'm trying a new recipe for dinner tonight and I'll post the results afterward if it's good. It's called Capellini Caprese.
This week has been pretty good besides Marc maybe having Strep... He's at the Dr. now so we'll see in a bit how that is.
The kids got Build A Bears last week and have been asking and asking for clothes to go with them and I won't pay the prices there in the store so we went to DI and found shirts and jackets in the infant section that were all $1.00. They were so happy and didn't know the difference between a $15.00 outfit and the $3.00 outfit. It was fun for sure and I finally got to pay a visit to Victoria's Secret today. With all the weight I have lost so far, nothing was fitting me anymore so I feel really good now. Woo Hoo! Thank you Marc!
Here's a link for really cheap tickets for a Jazz game next Friday (Jan. 30) against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It's basically $35.00 for two tickets (in the upper bowl) and a $10.00 Fanzz gift card. We're going for a cheap date night. Click HERE if you want to take advantage too. We're excited and enjoy going to games to root on the Jazz.
Happy Thursday!

Heather's Mini Meatloaf!
You have got to try this... I get bored with the usual recipes and decided to try something new.
All you need is:
1 C water
1 lb ground beef
1Pkg (6oz) stuffing mix
1 tsp Garlic powder
Splash of Worcestershire sauce
Barbecue sauce
Grated cheese

Preheat oven to 375. Mix meat, stuffing mix, 1C water, garlic powder and the splash of worcestershire sauce. Press into 12 muffin cups sprayed with cooking spray and make a hole in the center (see picture). Fill the centers with a bit of barbecue sauce (whatever your taste is) and bake for 30 minutes. Top with a bit of cheese and bake for a few more minutes until it's melted and enjoy. You will LOVE THIS!!! And it's so easy to do.

More Sunday thoughts...
I've had a hard time dealing with life's trials lately, wondering why so much pain and hurt have been dealt to me in my life especially as of late and I've come to the conclusion that while some of it was brought on by me and my choices it's the crap that happens out of the blue that really makes us stronger. Marc and I have been going to some counseling and I've really come to some amazing conclusions about how I tend to handle things. I wish I had gone to counseling much sooner... I strongly recommend it to anyone. Anyway, on to spiritual realizations... A friend once told me that "you are being polished by Heavenly Father...pretty soon you will be shiny", and what an example I had been to her and in one of my moments of real need she had been there for me with kind words and love. Thank you my friend for the reminder! It got me on the path to forgiveness and healing. Another friend posted on her blog a statement by Pres. Gordon B. Hinkley that says...“It isn’t as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don’t worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. Put your trust in God and move forward with faith in the future. The Lord will not forsake us . . . if we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers.”This statement has been running through my head on a daily basis since my life turned upside down. It's become a constant comfort that even the Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (my church) has his moments. I've felt so alone and forsaken by my own thoughts of myself and my life that I have forgotten at times where or who those feelings come from. It's a hard fight to realize who you are and I'm fighting again to regain the confidence in who I am in all aspects of my life. Even though at times I feel not heard while saying my prayers, I really deep down know He's listening. I have to "fight" for my answers and after some time they do come and in such amazing ways. Well, those are the thoughts for today and as of late.

Utah Baby Guide
This is an awesome magazine that you can look at online and also download for FREE to read. It's got some amazing articles for new mothers as well as expecting mothers. I've loved it even though I've got older children. Here's the site! Check it out by clicking on the link or on the button on the side of my blog! Happy learning!

Nothing new again!
Well, it seems as though I don't have any news to report other than the events of this past week... Things are as usual here in the Grimes house. I did find a cute bow website today, click here if you want to visit for your girls hair! I found their prices to be very reasonable and can't wait for payday to order some for Hannah.
Jaidyn is loving his hair being spiked now and I love it. He's such an awesome little man full of so much wonder about life. He loves to ask how things work so we think he'll be some kind of mechanic or engineer when he grows up, but that's a long time down the road and it's time for him to just be a kid.
We went to Chuck E Cheese yesterday and that was really fun. We did discover that the Sandy store is small and not as much fun as the Orem location. The Orem store is huge and has way more games and fun stuff for the kids to do. They did walk away with a few tickets for small prizes and with fun memories.
Later Marc and I went to the Clark Planetarium and watched a 3-D movie about the space station being built and it was amazing. We had a great time yesterday with the kids and each other. Date nights are really rare and desperately needed. We also went to the dollar store and picked out 6 gifts for each other and presented them after we got home. That's always fun to see what the other person comes up with. I recommend you doing that little activity with your special person.
Well, here's to another week! I can't believe we're already half way through January!!! Amazing how fast time flies.
This is an old picture of Hannah and Jaidyn feeding the ducks. Hannah was 3 and Jaidyn 2.
